I am also available to travel to you for all your photographic needs, both outdoor sessions (sale horses, stallion or mare shoots and portrait sessions) and studio sessions with my portable studio (at an extra cost).
Welcome to Constance Jaeggi Photography. I specialize in studio equine photography and am based out of Weatherford, Texas.
Horses are my big love, my passion and my greatest inspiration. Even my early childhood memories often revolve around art and horses. I am a Swiss native, but moved to Texas at the age of 19 to complete my Bachelor’s degree at TCU and more specifically, pursue my dream of riding horses competitively.
As much of my day revolves around caring for, breeding and showing cutting horses I came naturally to the idea of exploring their mystery and beauty through photography. After winning the 2014 NCHA Non Pro World Championship, I completed the photography program at the New York Film Academy in New York City. Visual Arts play an important part in my life and the man/horse partnership in particular fascinates me.
Since the early Bronze Age men and horses have shared each other's destiny. Some of the most famous partnerships are enshrined in history and mythology. From Bellophoron and his winged mount Pegasus to George Washington and Blueskin, horses have shared the burdens and joys of men in war and peace...
Through my photography, I explore the mysticism surrounding this animal that has been such a big part of civilization, yet still captivates and inspires so many, and by taking the animal out of its natural environment and into the studio, I can strip the horse down to its essence.
