Clay Cerny is a 2x NFR tie down roper. When He and his wife, Jodie, started a family in 2003 they stayed closer to home and Clay trained calf horses. Two horses that came out of his program went on to become PRCA calf horses of the year. Three of their horses were actually at the 2016 NFR!
Numerous things changed our life and plans in 2011. Injuries, family illness, and coincidently the first set of Thomas E Hughes colts owned by in-laws, Don and Kathy Boone, needed to be started that fall. Having never shown a cutting horse much less trained one, there has been a lot to learn. Thankfully the cutting horse industry is full of wonderful people who want to help others succeed. So many top trainers have contributed to helping Clay and teaching him along the way.
Currently Clay and Jodie have two year olds to finished horses in training as well as assisting non pros and amateurs.
